The FM-56SA-SCM is an external modem with Conexant SmartSCM controller that incorporates the DSP, MCU, 256K of ROM, 32K of RAM, and silicon DAA interface functions into a single chip. It not only provides V.90 standard 56Kbps speed for data transfer, fax send/receive and Internet surf but also performs error correction and data compression for reliability and transmission.
